Blueberry Chia Jam

  • 3 cups fresh Blueberries
  • ¼ c agave nectar or
  • 1/3 c granulated sugar
  • ¼ c chia seed
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract


Combine berries and agave in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until berries begin to soften and burst, about five minutes. Add chia seeds and cook until very thick, about 15 minutes. Stir often. Remove from heat and let cool, then add vanilla extract. Store in the refrigerator up to seven days.


  • Spread jam on whole wheat toast, mini bagel, waffle, pancake, rice cake or an English muffin and top with fruit and nuts
  • Use jam for a delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich Mix jam into plain Greek yogurt
